Under the leadership of Governor Doug Ducey, our Republican Legislature has made Arizona a national leader in job creation. Our district has reaped the benefits as major employers in sectors like technology have expanded and brought thousands of new jobs to our part of the county. Keeping that growth going means staying on track, reducing regulations, maximizing our natural resources and making it as easy as possible to do business in Arizona.
Education is the best predictor of future success, which makes education one of the most important issues we deal with at the Legislature. The good news is that Arizona schools have been improving faster than the national average, and our great state is home to some of the top high schools in the entire country. We can always do more and we need to do more. We need to direct more dollars into the classroom where it will benefit students and teachers directly. And, we need to continue to empower parents to choose the right school for their kids.
It isn’t complicated. Secure our borders, stop the drugs and violence that comes across it, enforce our laws, and restore America’s place as the ultimate goal of those who wish to come legally, and be a part of this miracle of a country.
I’m an immigrant and I did it the right way. The process is long, but it is worth it. And I chose America because it has laws and respects them. If I wanted lawlessness I could have chosen 100 other countries. Getting America back on track will require getting back to doing things right.
For industries who have needs that are not being met by the domestic labor force, they need to also work through the legal process. No one should be able to deceive the system to succeed.
For many, the Constitution is an abstract concept that is not seriously studied, or if studied the details and history are quickly forgotten. Those of us who took the time to study America’s founding documents, it is one of the most remarkable documents ever written. It ensures a perfect union, establishes justice, domestic tranquility, common defense, and above all liberty and prosperity. If we will follow the Constitution and return government to its rightful function we will fix much of what is broken. Protecting and restoring our Constitutional rights (particularly the 1st and 2nd Amendments) will be a passion of mine.
God bless the brave men and women who protect us and keep us free. Let’s make Arizona the most veteran friendly state in the country and continue to support our various military bases. These bases will not only protect our country, but contribute to our state’s economy, as well as provide support to our active duty and veterans community. We want our veterans who serve here to want to return here when their commitment is done, first to work in our expanding economy, then to retire here.
